Aimed at a broad market of sailors who have tired of overcomplicated, overpriced boats that need a crew of stout sailors, SpeedDream27 is a two-person boat that delivers full-on fun and excitement. The boat is simple to rig and easy to set sail, yet as you can imagine with any thoroughbred, it’s a challenge to master. Challenging yes, but not beyond your capability and taming any beast is always a reward unto itself. SpeedDream27 will deliver sailing excitement in a way that no other boat can….. or perhaps it’s because no other boat has dared.

SpeedDream27 is part of the mxSpeedDream portfolio, an eclectic collection of designs by Vlad Murnikov, a Russian born, American based designer known for his innovation and creativity. All designs are along the same concept and styling of SpeedDream100, the quest to build the fastest monohull on the planet.

THE BUILDER

Lyman Morse has been building boats continuously since the company was first formed in 1978 and the roster of new builds and restorations show an eclectic mix of old Maine craftsmanship and the latest high-tech all-carbon technology.
They are currently building a 63-foot Bruce Farr design for a solo non-stop circumnavigation and will slot the SpeedDream prototype in alongside with an estimated launch date of early next spring.
